Riverside City College’s Fine and Performing Arts (FPA) Online Privacy Statement

Information Collection and Use

FPA is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We collect information from our users at several different points on our website. We will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

FPA Newsletter

To receive our electronic newsletter, a user fills in an online form that requests First Name, Last Name and e-mail address. The only required field to join is the e-mail address that is used to send monthly newsletters with information about FPA. Topics may include opening performances, new links on our website, and special offers or discounted tickets. Each newsletter contains an opt-out option that gives the user the ability to remove their name and information from the newsletter database.

Online Ticket Purchases and Online Forms

We use several forms on our website to obtain specific information. There are multiple forms for ordering tickets to performances, a form to contact Landis Box Office and to be added to our mailing list, and a form to sign-up for our electronic newsletter. Ticket purchases require specific information regarding the performance(s) users wish to purchase along with personal contact information (e.g. name and address) and payment information (e.g. credit card number, expiration date and CVV code). This information is secured and used for billing purposes and to complete the customer’s order. This information becomes part of the Landis Box Office’s ticketing software database to streamline future ticket purchases and verifications and to provide recommendations and offers for future events. If we should have trouble processing an order, the information will be used to contact the user. This personal information is not retained, shared, or stored with any company other than FPA.  Credit card information input into our ticketing system is encrypted and cannot be accessed by staff once it has been added to the system.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. FPA uses cookies, including Google to calculate analytical information, Facebook integration to measure and improve advertisements, and Google double-click to present users with ads that are relevant to them, according to the user profile. Cookies also are used temporarily to facilitate ticket purchasing online.

Log Files

We us IP addresses to analyze trends, to administer the website, to track user’s movement within our website, and to gather broad demographic information. This information is used for marketing and analysis of website traffic and effectiveness purposes only.

Links

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to the information collected by this website.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our site will request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and, therefore, the user has the choice of whether or not to disclose such information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and e-mail address), and demographic information (such as zip code and age). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and to award prizes. Survey information will be used for monitoring and  improving the use and satisfaction of the site, as well as FPA’s programming and customer service.

Security

FPA’s intent is to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information online, the information is treated with the same confidentiality that customers receive when placing phone orders. At FPA, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users’ information is limited to employees in restricted access offices where the information remains confidential. Only a limited number of employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. These employees must also use password-protected log-in authentication to access personal accounts. If you have any questions about the security of our website, send an e-mail to contact@rccboxoffice.com

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This is done via the online ticket system or by contacting the Landis Box Office by phone at (951) 222-8100, by mail – Landis Box Office, 4800 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92506, or by e-mail – support@rccboxoffice.com. All electronic newsletters and marketing e-mails include an opt-out link.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes at this location so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that which was stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by e-mail. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
